Coffee… hey… what is it good for?

Coffee… hey… what is it good for?

Absolutely everything !

The benefits of scrub.

Your skin sheds every 7 days and if you do not exfoliate, at least every 7 days, those skin cells sit on your the surface of your skin clogging pores and leaving skin looking dry and dull.

Who should use scrub?

Everyone with skin.

Newer, vibrant layers of renewed skin remain hidden under dead skin if not remove.  This has many different affects on all skin types.

Not exfoliating can produce dull skin, which causes skin to look older, less glowing, less youthful – because you’re not showing off your new skin cells underneath!

Not exfoliating oily skin leads to an increase in whiteheads and blemishes as pores become blocked, stopping oils and bacteria from being removed.

If your skin is dry and you don’t exfoliate this can mean clusters of dry skin leaving your skin looking aged and dry.  In severe cases the dry aged skin areas are obvious, such as flaking skin.

Cellulite… sparks fear into the minds of many a female.  The best thing you can do for yourself is scrub thighs and buttocks (and the back or your arms, and other places that need firming).  This promotes blood flow to the area, helps firm the skin and firms your arms as you use muscles to scrub.  Win win!

Scrub at least once a week.

Why coffee scrub?

For starters coffee smells good.

It’s also a great use of left over coffee granules; environmentally friendly.

However, the main reason JOLI are switching from ground walnut to ground coffee – in Enliven Facial Scrub and Face & Body Wash – is because people are allergic  to walnuts.  Haven’t heard of allergies to coffee yet… are there people out there with that allergy?

  • Coffee on skin is anti ageing.
  • Coffee is a great antioxidant.
  • Coffee is anti-inflammatory and helps fight bacteria.
  • Coffee improves the texture and appearance of skin.
  • Coffee improves blood circulation.
  • Coffee can reduce puffiness.

NOTE: coffee granules have since been replaced with gentle rice sand.
