Different types of facials to give yourself

Different types of facials to give yourself

1. Mini ``scrub`` facial

This facial is good for when you have dry or flaky skin and you need a good exfoliation. Usually you can feel that you need this because your skin will be flaky and bumpy.

  • Start off with applying some facial scrub, massage onto skin then remove with a warm cloth.
  • Follow with a mask and leave to sit for 10+ mins before removing with a warm cloth.
  • Apply moisturiser and eye cream as usual.

2. Mini ``cleanse`` facial

This facial is good for when you just want to do a quick cleanse because you’re short on time or energy (or both).

  • Start off with applying some facial cleanser, massage onto skin then remove with a warm cloth.
  • Follow with toner applied with a cotton ball or reusable cotton pad.
  • Apply moisturiser and eye cream as usual.

3. ``Acne healing`` facial

As the title suggests, this facial is good for healing a breakout. Done each night, you will start to see a noticeable improvement within 7 days.

  • Start off with applying some facial cleanser, massage onto skin then remove with a warm cloth.
  • Follow with toner applied with a cotton ball or reusable cotton pad.
  • Apply a gel mask (antibacterial & healing) and leave to sit for 10+ mins before removing with a warm cloth.
  • Apply moisturiser and eye cream as usual.

4. ``Deep Cleanse`` facial

This facial is “the burger with the lot”, or supreme pizza with all the topings. It’s the deluxe facial to really give your skin the well needed attention is deserves (every now and again – aim for at least once a month).

  • Apply facial cleanser, massage onto skin then remove with a warm cloth.
  • Follow with toner applied with a cotton ball or reusable cotton pad.
  • Next apply some facial scrub, massage into skin, then remove with a warm cloth. If you’re going to do an extraction this is the time to do it.
  • Follow with toner applied with a cotton ball or reusable cotton pad.
  • Apply a mask and leave to sit for 10+ mins before removing with a warm cloth.
  • Follow with toner applied with a cotton ball or reusable cotton pad.
  • Apply moisturiser and eye cream as usual.

5. Super ``quick`` facial

This facial is for when you really can’t be bothered giving yourself a facial yet you want to do something nice for your skin.

  • Start off with a mask. Your choice of Gel, Clay or Cold Cream mask (note: cold cream masks are done with applying a moisturiser of choice). Leave to sit for 10+ mins before removing with a warm cloth.
  • Apply moisturiser and eye cream as usual.

Which is your favourite facial and do you mix it up like I do, a quick facial here, a deeper cleansing facial there?
